This event on the banks of the Connecticut River highlights the students from Rio de Janeiro who have been impacted through this cultural exchange. The teens share their remarkable stories as well as their new cultural experiences. All funds raised go directly toward the costs of the exchange program and development expenses. The Calder family covers all administration and office expenses.
This year features paella along with appetizers, open bar, live music, and a silent and live auction. Chef David Witter from The Big Paella will cook up the delicious meat and seafood paella dinner onsite. Vegetarian paella available too!
The Occasional Jazz Ensemble repertoire is largely Great American Songbook fare, but will weave in some Jobim to lend a Brazilian flair.
