A Tribute to Our Founders

Richard & Margot Calder

The founders of BRAYCE, Richard & Margot Calder, built a legacy of possibility, compassion, and vision that continues to transform the lives of gifted yet marginalized Brazilian youth. Since launching BRAYCE in 2005, they have helped unlock the potential of nearly 70 motivated young people by connecting them with global experiences, leadership development, and cross-cultural friendships that empower them to shape a brighter future for themselves and their communities. Richard Calder, who passed away in 2015, and Margot Calder who continued guiding the program until her death in 2025, were an unparalleled force of positivity and kindness, and had an unwavering believe in the promise of every young person they served. Today, their daughters, Caitlin & Fenna Calder, carry forward this mission with same dedication and heart, ensuring that BRAYCE continues to thrive and to honor the extraordinary legacy their parents created.
